The Village Garden Club has a full programme organised for the year.  The links below will give you further information…..

The Village Garden Club, which was formed in 2003, is open to everyone who is interested (not necessarily knowledgeable) in any form of gardening, be it flowers, shrubs, or vegetables etc.

It meets once a month (except August and December) for either talks, held in Brockhampton’s Village Hall, or visits to local gardens.  An annual day trip is also organised to a garden further afield.  In January there is a Social Evening (with wine, etc.) which may include a quiz, photo competition or other relevant entertainment.  A newsletter, giving useful information and gardening tips, is sent out to all members every two months.

Subjects for talks are very varied and have included such items as:  Herbs, Spring Bulbs, Garden Design, Fruit Trees, Organic Gardening and Rose Growing.

Visits have been made to Kew Gardens and the Hillier Gardens in Hampshire and, more locally, to Upton Wold near Blockley, Batsford Arboretum, High Glanau, Gwent and Sir Roy Strong’s garden ‘The Laskett’  in Herefordshire.
