Our local WI meets at 7.30 pm at Rhodes Memorial Hall, Brockhampton, usually on the first Monday of each month, and visitors are always welcome.
 Wi Fashion Event
  Supermodels Thora and Pauline
strut their stuff at the WI Fashion Show.
We have regular attendees from the surrounding area as well as our own parish and we cater for all ages – current members range from early 30s to late 80s!

We’re more akin to ‘Calendar Girls’ than ‘Jam and Jerusalem’, (although we do still start each meeting by singing the latter – our choice and by no means compulsory!) and we have a great deal of fun together.

The format of our evenings is usually a short business meeting followed by a talk from an invited speaker then refreshments.  We try to cover a wide range of topics and interests, and to be both informative and entertaining.

Each year, on an ‘ad hoc’ basis, we arrange additional outings and other activities, sometimes including partners, who are also invited to at least one of our monthly meeting.

Recent activities have included fielding a team in league skittles, theatre outings, participating in the Gloucestershire Echo quiz, organised walks and members enjoying a variety of courses from lace-making to rock climbing!

We’re always keen to encourage new people to join us and it’s a great way to make friends if you've recently moved to the parish.

You don’t need to commit to becoming a member straight away – just come along to one of our meetings as a visitor – you’ll be made very welcome.
