Parish Council Provides More Salt

Gloucestershire Highways will be replenishing the piles of grit along our roadsides but we can’t be certain exactly when. They have had a huge number of complaints before and since the onset of this earlier-than-expected cold spell about the absence of supplies.
As the need is now and we cannot be sure exactly when grit will arrive, the Parish Council has taken steps to ensure that Sevenhampton and Brockhampton have adequate supplies of salt. Four one tonne bags of grit have been delivered to strategic positions in the area as below:
  • At the top of Webbs Lane Sevenhampton (road to the watersplash).
  • At the Brockhampton Park Lodge Crossroads.
  • By the Brockhampton Telephone Kiosk.
  • At the top of Quarry Hill, Brockhampton.
This has been provided for use by residents on roads. It is hoped that the more able parishioners and those with suitable vehicles will be able transport supplies to where it is most needed.
