Published for the residents of Sevenhampton  and Brockhampton, Gloucestershire.

Not a lot to report really. Winter continues apace - hopefully a let up very soon.
The  village  has  lost  three  old  friends  in the  past  weeks,  Helen  Mather,  Irene “Rosie” Rose and our special friend, Ros Stewart.  All had had full lives but all will still be much missed.

Everyone is invited to

the 2008 WI Open Meeting,

to  be  followed  by  refreshments,

on Monday 7th April at 8 pm in Rhodes Memorial Hall, Brockhampton.
We are very fortunate that Stuart Boreham  has  agreed  to  be  the speaker.    In 2004 Stuart  rowed across  the Atlantic,  becoming  the  first  physically disabled  person  in  the  world  to  row  an ocean  unassisted  and  unsupported.    The story  of  his  journey  is  truly  inspirational
and  he  now  uses  this  experience  to motivate others,  demonstrating that  having  a disability  is
not a barrier to achievement.
Please come along for what promises to be a memorable evening.
and on Monday 5th May:- NFWI Resolutions

7.30 p.m. in the Rhodes Memorial Hall. If  you aren’t a member come along anyway  and give it a go.

Helen Mather

Helen Mather asked us to thank everyone for the support she had received during her stay in hospital.  She was overwhelmed by the kindness of friends in the village and wanted you all to know how much it was appreciated.
Although she sadly passed away on Easter Sunday, we think she would still have wanted you all to know, your generosity  did not go unnoticed.
