"Christmas
is coming” striking dread into the over-18s yet again. Some
will seek oblivion through the office party (and begin their job search
in Jan).Sponsored Sevenhampton Parish Council Most though will be overwhelmed by the disappearing days and “what to buy Anoushka”s, “Does wrapping paper have to tear?” and “Oh No! A card from …”. Then comes the DOUBLE BOOKING with Pies & Punch & Locals Night. Barbara (pub 820410) & Georgina (PP&C 820423) are hoping to edge one forward and one back a bit so that dual attendance possible. Best to let them know if you’d like to do both. Items for the next Issue (Feb/Mar) by 20th. January Please. Bill & Anne Jenkin: 820338 email: removed to prevent spam Parish Precept to DropSevenhampton Parish Council has decided to drop the precept next year from £5,250 to £5,000. This follows a review of actual expenditure this year. Part of the precept for several years has been an annual payment of £1000 into a fund to be used for major projects such as the purchase of some land for an open space. This is known as the ‘Way Forward Fund’. The plan for this fund will be reviewed at the next meeting so if you can think of an exciting new local initiative talk it over with a parish councillor. The Next Regular meeting of the Parish Council will be on
Wednesday 23rd January 2008 In The Reading Room Rhodes Memorial Hall At 7.30 pm The meeting will be preceded by a short question and answer session.
