CHANGES TO THE SERVICE IN APRIL 2008
Cotswold District Council is to introduce in part the new waste service from April 21st  2008
See the latest press release from Cotswold District Council about this here.

The normal days for collection should not change.

From April 21st there will be:-
  • Non-recyclable landfill waste collected weekly in black bin bags provided by householders (as at present).
  • Paper, glass and cans collected fortnightly in kerbside recycling boxes (as at present)
  • Garden waste collected weekly in green wheeled bins or brown paper sacks from those households who have paid for the service.
  • Food waste collected weekly in food waste containers (for those residents who have received them) - you can also put food waste in the garden waste wheely bins if you have paid for the garden waste service
  • Please do not use grey wheely bins, beige bin bags for landfill items or blue sacks for card/cardboard at this stage if you have already received them.
Eventually (midsummer 2008) the fully redesigned service will consist of:
  • A weekly collection of food waste for composting using new 10-litre food waste containers - you will also be  able to put food waste in the garden waste wheely bins if you have paid for the garden waste service.
  • Garden waste collected weekly in green wheeled bins or brown paper sacks from those households who have paid for the service
  • A fortnightly collection of card and cardboard for recycling in new reusable blue sacks
  • The continuation of the current fortnightly collection of paper, glass, cans/tins and empty aerosol cans for recycling in kerbside boxes
  • The collection of non-recyclable waste fortnightly in new grey wheeled bins or in Council-supplied beige bin bags
