Sevenhampton Annual Parish Meeting
Minutes of a Meeting
held on Wednesday March 16th 2011
In the Reading Room, Rhodes Memorial Hall Brockhampton
Present:
Bill Jenkin (chairman), Lynne Jackson, Harry Boyd, Di Brown, Clive Norden and 3 parishioners
- The Minutes of the meeting, having been circulated, were approved and signed as a true record of proceedings.
- Chairman’s report: Of the
items outstanding following the last annual meeting, the footpath in
lower Sevenhampton, the seat in Gassons Lane and the water stop tap on
the green in Brockhampton had all been repaired. The
parish council had been able to donate £6000 to the Village Hall
refurbishment and had also purchased 12 grit bins and a supply of salt
as a result of the severe weather. A stone seat and a tree
had also been purchased to commemorate the work that Colin Rosser had
done for the parish. There had been 12 planning
applications during the year. The village hall continued to
be fairly well used and BADS had been resurrected with some younger
members. The parish was likely to lose the bus and library
service due to the Government cutbacks and, after giving thanks to the
clerk and councillors for their work during the year, the chairman
urged people to come forward for nomination to the council at the
election on 05 May.
- Question time: There were no questions so the chairman closed the meeting.
