of the Parish Council Meetingheld

- Apologies
having been received from Jon Davis the minutes, having been
circulated, were signed and dated as a true record of proceedings.
- Matters
arising:
- Affordable housing update
–
Martin Hutchings was due to report shortly on the outcome of his
meeting with the Gloucestershire Housing Association and Sinead
Lantelli (Housing Enabler)) because the next step was the planning
application. The clerk to chase up for
next meeting.
- Wind turbines – no further
developments
- RUPPs – the chairman had put
together a photo-montage and list of walking books featuring Camden
Lane and passed it on to Victoria Logue who would deal with the matter
should there be an appeal.
- Stream clearance
– Robert Jackson had agreed to carry out the spraying and
Charles Arkell proposed, seconded by Bill Jenkin and RESOLVED that his
fee of approximately £75 would be paid when the job had been
carried out possibly in April/May.
- There was no
further news on the future of the Craven Arms but the clerk had all the
necessary CAMRA brochures in case of future need.
- Tree
warden – Mervin Poole had resigned as he was moving out of
the parish and until the new tree warden scheme was up and running the
parish would manage without. The clerk to advertise
for a new tree warden when matters became clearer.
- Grass
cutting
tender:
The clerk reported that four people had tendered with a considerable
difference between the cheapest and most expensive.
Following a short discussion it was RESOLVED unanimously that Dean Webb
would be asked to carry out the work for this year in the sum of
£425.00. The clerk would speak to him
over details and payment.
- Planning
report:
Elsdown Barn conversion and Gassons Farm outline planning had been
passed. The proposed garage at Hillview
had been refused. The new garage at The Old Forge,
new farm buildings at Gassons Farm and the Oil Tank at Brockhampton
Park were pending.
- Financial
report:
- It
was proposed by Charles Arkell, seconded by Thomas Jackson and RESOLVED
that the two year registration fee for the web site of £20
would be paid to Bill Jenkin as and when required.
- Payments:
Clerk £358.64; GRCC £30.00 set up fees for housing
survey; and transfer to Way Forward
£1000. Balances: £5156.28 in
the main account and £6116.53 (including £126.31
interest) in the Leeds & Holbeck respectively
- Correspondence:
The chairman reported that a letter would probably be addressed to the
parish council shortly from the Village Hall Committee asking for
donations towards a hearing loop and PA system for the Village
Hall. All users of the Village Hall were to be
approached.
- The date of the next meeting was
confirmed as 18 May which would be the first Annual Parish Council
meeting following the election of new
councillors. There being no other
business the chairman closed the meeting at
